Checklist Checklist Checklist

I am no soothsayer but I do predict a hectic 2013 for me. With a new baby, a new maid, a kid in Primary school, another kid in a new childcare centre and no more dinner-at-Mum's (read: masak kau sendiri!), its going to be a whirlwind year and I hope I'm well-prepared for the ride.

My maternity leave ends late February and that's when the real adventure/nightmare (delete where applicable) starts. In the meantime, there is so much on my plate still and rest is not an option for this 3rd-time Mum- sigh...

November was spent training the helper with housework and cooking.

December was the month of baby care.

January is my freedom month as both Arissa and Sofia head out to school, and the Helper is ready to take on Aidan alone. Its already a third of the way through January though but I still haven't seen the
a) hairdresser
b) colourist
c) manicurist
d) all of the above

At least though I got 1 big thing ticked off my list:

It was quite an experience for me. First I had to watch the whole procedure because Hafidz could not join us that day and I was adamant it had to be that particular Monday so he had time to recover by the weekend (hah! i love my sense of timing). The first day was hell, he was bloody and screaming and just inconsolable. The 2nd day, he fared better and I finally put the diapers back on. The third day he slept a lot more and was only having slight discomfort, typically when he pees and it burns the wound. I'm hoping the ring falls off tomorrow. Please God so I can go to (d) all of the above (ref last para).

So I spent the first week of January recuperating with the only kid not in school (yet). At home. With very little housework to do. And full control over my Starhub remote, between 12pm and 6pm. And no screaming, demanding children calling out "Mummy! Mummy!" just for the heck of it.

Aaahh... peace: i welcome thee.
